I am an INFJ, which is a convenient shorthand for a few things that show up in how I work.

I go deep before I go wide. Given a question, my instinct is not to produce an answer quickly but to sit with it until the shape of it makes sense — which is occasionally frustrating for people who wanted a number by Thursday, and occasionally the reason the number was right.

I care about the why more than the what. A dashboard that reports a metric going up is only interesting to me once someone asks what changed. Most of my better work has come from refusing to stop at the first plausible explanation.

I am quiet in rooms and specific on paper. I would rather write a clear page than talk through a vague one, which is part of why this site has a writing section at all.

And I think about who is downstream of the numbers. Data work is mostly invisible until it is wrong, and then it is someone's rent, someone's diagnosis, someone's decision. That framing keeps me careful.
